Any tips on tactics and formation as finding it incredably hard?

Put players in there best position so it is bright green the thing next t the player and go with a formation 442 but push all midfielders up and pull one striker one and the other the other one.(with the right click) it works for with Aldershot and I won the league in my first season with only 20k to spend

First of all get your assistant to asses your team...he will tell you what he thinks is the strongest side. I would pick that team for a while it will usually do well. If playing a big four side always play 4-1-4-1.

4 defs centre backs run back fullbacks foward 1 centre mid 1 right mid 1left mid both wingers going forward then att mid centre with free role and set as play maker 2 up top one to hold up the other to get in behind defence make sure you set player tactics this is vital alo use a direct passing with quick tempo trust me this is akiller att formation.

Most Successfull tactics i've found was 4-3-3 attacking. However you do need 3 really good midfielders and at least 1 awesome striker for this to work , Henry, Aguero, Ibrahimovich, Teves, Rooney to name a few.
Tactics take a bit of tinkering depending on your personnel. usually employ Attacking mentality, a lot of closing down, Normal creativity , deep defensive line. again these need to be adjusted for instance if chasing a game, or against far superior opposition. good Luck

For my elite man city team I play 4-1-2-1-4, so basically diamond formation. but honestly any formation can work providing you have the players doing the right things to make it work. its good to have a very strong Defensive midielder I personally use miguel veloso or nigel de jong. this is my strongest 11. I play 2cb 2wb 1cm but not making any foward runs so the arrow points to dm 3attm and 2st. also for tactics my mentality is all out attack closing down as whole pitch and tick these boxes: tight marking, play offside andcounter attack. I did it with liverpool and I just beat chelsea 4-1 at stamford bridge )

I find the best 1 is normal 4 defenders then 2 cntre mids
1 attacking mid then the right and left mid in attacking left and right mid

then the lone forward, which has to be a a gd forward

I cant go a game without a player getting injured for a month or so, anyone else having these problems and anyone know how to sort this out?

Im having the same problem, I tried increasing the strength and physical side of training to increase natural fitness, this seems 2 b minimising the injuries a bit

Yes!
I started at Wacker Innsbruck, (not the best team in the world)
after my first 2 games 7 of my players were out with broken legs, dislocated arms, sprains, bruises and all that.
I then joined Sheff Utd and the exact same thing happened all my key first team players out injured.

Can anyone help?
or is that how your supposed to play the game?

It's a bug. you have to download the new patch from SI and then install it.

It's not a bug don't worry.... at the end of the day football manager is a simulation of real life football.and injuries are common in games, just do what the first guy said and increase physical aspect of training sounds good to me and im gonna try it now.

You should rest players and sub them off squad rotation some players get injured more than others they have the injury code on 20 but you can't see that only on edit mode that pops up like consistancy good luck!

Tell your assistant man 2 take care of friendlies (they have chance of injury) then by the start of the season they should be match fit

I use young player vs the leaster team and use the best player for the main games it does work but you still get injuries

I always find a lot of injuries is usually connected with too much training. Make sure pre season training is intense and then drop training gradually throughout the season! hope this helps

Save the game before the match, if a major injury occurs, go and load the file and play again.

Thats what football manager has to you can't have a game without injuries

Happens in real life football too and is really really irritating, just gotta go with it though and make them available for reserve games etc.

Put training workload on easy and they wont be as tired and wont get as many injuries

To prevent injuries buy a new/better physio for your team.you can do this by the same way you buy players.simple.however you can not prevent all injuries but you can reduce them.also rotate your players or buy strong athletic ones to improve your rotation system.

It came up on the screen when I downloaded FM that I can use it but can't update it. Then when I got the update like it said it didn't work and I just removed the program and downloaded it again and it worked. Now I cannot remove it. It says it can't find a defualt database when I try load it up and when I try to remove the program it says the Launch anywhere property file is missing. Can anybody help? It would be appreciated. I done a career as hartlepool and bought these players on my 1st season: Freddie Ljunberg, scores goals and delivers crosses(30k), Robbie Fowler, again scores goals and 15 at free-kicks(free), Paul Henderson, brilliant keeper for leicster(85k) and Mark Fotheringham, brilliant at passing(free).

I was qpr I raided brazil players like. marquinhos (45 goals in prem later) 3-9ml. nilmar 3-6ml. sandro 2 mil. duglas costa (min rel 23m). leo (by 20 he will be one o the best defs in the game). walter (top buy will give you 25 goals a seson) 2-4m. check out peru team for cheap good players. you can even get david beckham for like 6 m. josh lambo cheap gk 250k. john fleck. plus der r loads of yung swedes 4 free n dutch n belgium, try gefrey snieder. trust its worth investing in them brazilian players but each one will get offers of 15ml+ after dey spend one season with you and your chairman will accept.
