Heat can be reduced by repainting your car, but also keep in mind that putting on aftermarket body add-ons and performance boosters will increase the heat of your car, giving it a minimum heat of something usually around 2, which can be kept at the level by repainting it occasionally

In career mode, what you av to do is just select your GPS map with the car that you want its HEAT to be at reset. Then choose a JOB that you av already completed. I recommend that you choose the job with the title LOCO. in this job, you av to takedown a opponent. But what you av to do is as the game starts, just stop your car, DO NOT crash into anything as this will add HEAT to your heat meter. Then just press START and QUIT the event. You will return to free mode. Check your HEAT meter and it will be at reset level. You Can do this many times and also to any cars in your garage to do this trick as it is unlimited.

A1:

When you complete a few races with the default nissan 240 you'll win a pink slip race. You'll have your pick of about 7 cars. The Lotus Elise is the best car of the group. Since that race it's all i've used and I dominate every race easily. The handling is amazing and the speed is limitless. With Street mods and light tuning it'll hit 180mph and stay there.

Actually I would recomend the pontiac. it can reach over 200mph instead of just 180. Plus its just a bit better looking lol!

I agree, use the lotus it feels nicer 2 drive as well as being alot better handling

The Elise might be twenty miles slower but its significantly better handling allows you to beat the Pontiac with ease and besides the computer AI never reaches its top speed so you have a built in advantage, and the Elise will run away from the competition. When you win the second car (your third total), I first chose the Superbee (being a hemi fan) but then after accidentally erasing my game and having to start a new one I chose the Audi (A4 I think) its top speed also being lower but its handling higher and I could feel how much easier it was the second time around. Then at tier 2 the first time I chose the Austin Martin DB9 (huge fan of the ultra sexy V12 Vanquish and all Austin Martin's even though the new DBS is their fastest yet it got left out), however I felt that it was sluggish so I bought the Galardo (the second time through I just got it right off). When you upgrade this to pro parts it becomes the best handling vehicle in the game (so far as I can tell) even better than its big brother the Murcialago. For tier 1 I just bought the Bugatti right off, though even maxed out its handling sucks its top speed is 251mph (I don't think it's the fastest but I like it). Then I just judge the races before I start them, if they have a lot of straightaways I take the Bugatti if it has a lot of tight corners though, I still take the Galardo, its superior handling allows it to easily beat tier 1 cars in these conditions and its max speed of 222 makes sure that if you judged wrong you can still win. I am going to buy a new tier 1 car soon but I wanted to wait and see if the game would give me the pink slips. (I am about 80% complete I think) (man my spelling is off at 4:20 in the mourning on new years after the celebrations)
