In the second town if you got to the guild there will be a soldier outside with a red speech bubble, he will say lord David wants to speak with you, then go to the castle and continue with the quests.

I thought that to. fight some of the bugs and walk around where the bugs are and you will eventually see a spirit wood but its a ghost and it will disappear when you move. as soon as you see it, use time shift and walk to where it is
Three unions isnt going to help you at all cuz when it uses pandemonium it will enrath one union. try to make as many unions as you can. this is what I did. I equipped rush with the defender sword and gave him an accessory that will increase his evasion so when they attack, rush will almost always evade it or block it plus the defender increases his evasion as well. then make 5 or 4 unions of how ever many you can until it balances out but put rush in a union by himself with no soilders or leaders you will see why. take care of the hypnos unions first. and after that hope you can summon cyclops becuz that remnant never comes when you need it to. but if you do summon him. take the battle slow dont try to rush it. let rush, cyclops, and another union take care of gates of hell and make sure none of the unions die or it will use pandemonium and then your in trouble. keep your unions spread out so when it uses its area attack you wont have to waste alot of AP healing. follow these directions and you will win. take every boss battle slow and pace yourself you will have no problem with bosses any more
Honestly? you gotta be patient let your cyclops take on hell first then whack the other enemies hell will continually just focus on cyclops while you take out other enemies tht will chip away your hp if you head straight for hell
I beat him with 3 unions it took a few goes but it is possible.just beat the smaller monsters 1st then attack with a mixture of 1 to 2 unions and keep the other 1 back to heal the rest including cyclops (that is if the game lets you) keep pulling your unions back and fourth to keep as much health as possible and let cyclops take the beating
A1:

First you have to be able to make more then 2 unions Eg Progress in the Story Line and the option becomes avilable
You can allways use time shift to outrun them
You can try to use time shift but is you do that then they will get angry and continue to chase you until you leave the map
Don't make rush say, ''lets do this'',and not hit a monster because it will follow you
All simple.
1. No dead unions in fight. Coz they kill cyclop. So disband all weak unions, create union with 5 leaders and support union leader+4 soldiers.
2. Don't attack hellgate until Cyclop do. Then hellgate will contininue attack cyclop until cyclop die. So you can attack hellgate, next turn - heal, then attack again...
3. Kill trash mobs as fast as you can. Faster kills - more hp Cyclop save for boss.

To be honest I dont think there is a sertain way you should do it . all I did was go in and start fighting remembering of cours to keep healin plenty there all die in the end
Your BR is tooo high! Stay under 60 Battle rank, its easier
Best way imo is to have 3 unions of 5 people 2 leaders in each union 1 combat soldier(heavy weapon and combat arts) and 2 healer soldiers( mystic healing arts or item healing arts).
keep your unions health up at at all times and if any get taken down heal them immediately.
train on monsters you struggle to kill and only attack 1 at a time... this maximises the rate you gain stats but lowers the rate you get battle rank... soon you'll have no problem killing it

In certain caves you will find items such as
Staff Of remberance etc.
You have to dig them and collect 3 in all
Not sure what caves but you should find them eventually

A2:

You can find these certain items throughout the game. In fact, ive beaten the 6 bases and just found another in the underwalt. Hint: theres one in athlum in the town square where that yama is standing by the valeria heart
You need the Vivication Herb Art. Use this and it will revive a KO'd union...
Also with the mystic art Kiss Of Life
There are a couple ways to revive a union, 1 being to use item arts such as vivication herb or vivication tincture. Another way is to use Kiss of Life or Second chance when it says so on the actions. in all cases you usually see an option that says "Bring Them Back!" and its usually located on the union that KO'd your union that you want to save.

I cant quite remember which pub it was. but go around to all the pubs in the game and talk to the bartenders unitl one of them say something about melphina

Turn at the right exit at Berechevaltelle
Kill the lesser groups first and when they're all dead go after the Fiery Idol.
The trick is to get the right party.
I died about 10 times before I realised that I needed help. Go back to Athlum and go into the guide shop thing... inside there you will be able to "Aquire Units".
Killing the extra little units first is always a good idea(flank attack and raidlock are HORRIBLY imbalanced)
Get yourself a strong party and just hammer at him, then heal, then attack, then heal
Goodluck :)

If your talkin about the fiery idol just dont worry no need to train like hell just get second leader and put both in same union then keep ea other alive then let the guest unions(Prince Dave,Torgal, emma, pagus) will do the rest of the damage. if you can try not to deadlock boss he can do aoe atks which if im nt wrong only guest unions can survive

Its in the second path of sienenbur where you need the stone of the imperator to open the door . beat the fallen quest with wyngale and he will give it to you as a reward
A2:

The ancient ruins are at the end of the second path, if you are going to do the fallen quest where you get the stone from wyngale then you need to be pretty tough as the fallen has around 600,000hp and does serious area damage, I was battle rank 87 when I did this and it took me several goes, also be careful when you go into the ancient ruins it's not easy, and it's hard to find your way around
A1:

Leader/generals are the people you hirer from the guild, soldiers are just fillers to add to the unit. Leader/generals are special soldiers that have specific specialty and some leaders you have to higher to do side quests. There not different from regular soldiers just that they can lead
A2:

The generals are Torgal, Pagus, Bloctor and Emma(replaced by emmy after story events) they are the four generals of athlum.
the other leaders are the ones recruited from the guild.
in xbox version you are allowed a max of 6 leaders in your party though on pc version there is no limit

You simply just gotta go in and beat the battle watch out there is a dragon at the end but he wont attack you until you attack him
A1:

You can only check the battle rank after you win a fight, (don't keep hitting A button or you'll skip it) it's at the top right of the screen. I heard it's in the menu on the PC version but I only have the xbox one.
A1:

Fight the other dragon first, try and summon cyclops or namul niram to occupy the welkin dragon, try and keep your health up every go, and try to have 1 person in every union who can revive dead unions, its trial and error so make sure you save before you start the fight,
A1:

It should be the same. the higher the BR the harder the bosses will be
A2:

If you fight monsters one at a time your battle rank goes up slower but you gain stats and arts at the same rate... meaning you are stronger than your battle rank suggests and it is easier to beat monsters however this does mean you get last captures and so you have to wait much longer to get the monster dismantler achievement
A1:

Sixth path dig spot
A1:

You can recruit them in the 360 version you just have to do the side quests for each one of them and then beat the enlightened version of them and you should be able to hire them at the guild
A1:

Go to caliples or whatever it is and buy 2 raipers or a otaci
A2:

Its Debatable how to gear your character, you can go with two swords and get stronger with mystic arts and physical attacks, go with a sword and shield and keep rush stronger *more of a tank like figure* or go with a two handed weapon *large sword, spear, axe* and do massive damage and keep a small amount of defense...your attacks are slower, but it helps in the beginning..i personally started with a spear all the way til I duo'd the mine with Emma..then I went two swords..and now my mystic arts are at a minimum of 7k per target *with permafrost*.
A1:

It's not about gear it's about your stats and your arts... go grind on something to raise stats... attack 1 monster at a time while grinding and your br will stay low (the monsters you fight increase in their strength etc as your br goes up)
A1:

9999hp+2561xyour rank
Having the item is not enough. You actually have to acquire the item while out in the field so that they can take it (purchasing the item doesn't work either).
I know this aint a proper answer but I got a perf sword for blocter and he wont take it. just wait see if any of your generals ask if you have any
Look for it in various locations in the World Map or buy it in a town if it's available. The generals will get it automatically.
If you have enough of it in your invo they will just take it... if you don't have enough then go aquire some... when they want items they are trying to upgrade their weapons
A1:

The trick is to not fight the landworms, but to get them to chase you. Close to the north (blocked) stairs, the boss will appear once you have enough landworms following. Once the boss appears, just touch him to begin the battle
A1:

Your health will increase after some battles
All the characters increase individually
Some items you equip can add a bonus to your health

A2:

If you mean "how do you heal?" you are healed after every battle and you can heal during battles using item arts or mystic arts
Just afer you come back from celpiosn after takin to david
You become able to recruit soldiers once David and his generals join your party as actual units, not guests.
You will be able to do this very early in the game, just keep playing.
The recruiting officer is in the location of the Valera(sp?) Heart section of the city map you know the bit glowy sword thingy he it toward the entrance of the main square he should be slightly to the left he is easy to find
