Best bet against big guys are the bomb towers w/a combo of leveled up machine guns. Also try using the blocks to slow them down a little. In further levels the game is becoming insane, but if you can place things really fast then you can even land them in front of an approaching enemy. As soon as they destroy something send in a new one to replace that destroyed item. Hope this helps. Laser towers are good for slow moving big monsters only if they are powered up.
AMP Towers Nukka! Plus, don't rely too much on the laser towers, they are slow, and often times, ineffective. Upgrade your machine guns to full power, and also your mortars. Mortars are THE MOST effective weapons in your arsenal. Have been every level, except two, perfectly.
Use an AMP tower ,upgrade him up to 150 ,even if it is covering the Laser tower it powers up more , and then use an other AMP tower next to the upgraded one...the also boost the repair power of Repair towers

How do you get past lvl 8. those flying fings keep distroying my towers how do I beat them?

Repair towers upgraded and amp towers. Also helps to have firepower cranked instead of defense (seems to work for me) Flying bugs can't hurt a tower as fast as an upgraded repair tower in range of an amp tower will fix it.
Place an iron box infront of the towers, for some reason the flying bugs like to shoot those instead of your machine guns etc

You have to keep building machine guns and upgrade them to max.
