In the Dirt Series distance challenge, you have to have the right driver to win. We won with Maurice L'eclair..he has one of the best boosts. You also have to take the shortcut after going through the 2nd "tunnel" then get all the way to left where there is a divide...then take a hard right, break through the cones and jump the ramp area...fill your boost all the way a few times then unload but NOT always hitting the boost cans, they ultimately slow you down so you need some time NOT hitting them.
Ignore the boost's!
You need the right driver. The best people are in the Euro Series. Also powerslide 88% of the Junkyard.

When times running out save Lot of boost and go fast by the way I already beat it but not the game
You should drift a lot and use as many boosts as possible
Ignore the boosts, the inside lane is much faster take shortcuts if you can. I had the same problem it took me a month but when I tried it I did it on the 1st try.

You have to hit about 90% of the boost cans and use the boost as soon as you get it.
In the game, there are some reverse tracks. These are just tracks that are backwards. You don't drive backwards, but the track is backwards. -Answer by:jmanawsome

In 8 different series, the last race might be a track you haven't unlocked yet so all you have to do is to beat the series with the new track in it including that new track and then they tell you have unlocked datona or somthing like that

Play through championship mode
Use Jeff Gordon on this challenge, only one I could use to get through it. You don't have to get all the fuel cans, just enough to get some boost and also use the power slide feature in the corners to speed up your time. I tried about 20 times until using Gordon, and with Gordon beat it on the 1st try. Good Luck!
I struggled with this for quite a few hours. Don't worry about hitting the fuel cans just run your best line and boost when you have it. It will make you mad when you beat it the first time doing it that way.

Okay, so I too struggled with this challenge. I looked everywhere for answers and then I found the second answer above. I just want to say, that it absolutely works! I did it the first time I tried it! I can't believe it!
I dont think it has anything to do with Jeff Gordon, but the other guy is right. Keep your line 80% of the time but I think it is also about getting your boot at the right time.... I.E in straight aways so you can use boost in the corners while using the fastest line possible. Good Luck

You can use anyone but you have to powerslide!
There is a jump on the track that really helped me out. It is sort of like a short cut but not really because that jump helps a lot. Just keep doing power slides and you've got it. It has nothing at all to do with the driver
Answers 2&4 are right on the money! My boys (twins age seven), and I thirty eight, gave up several weeks ago until I read Answers 2&4 last night 02/05/10. We beat it the first time we tried it, You can't imagine how excited my boys were! THANK YOU!
Seriously just tried to beat that distance challenge for 2 hrs. I was about to quit. But like everyone else says: Just forget about the boosts and cut the corners hard and you will beat it.

You unlock new racetracks by completing championship series. You unlock tracks when you complete the series that uses that track for its finals. not all series will unlock a track.

On this distance challenge, I had to delete the entire profile and then beat the Euro Series. When I beat it the distance challenge distance score restarted itself an it lowered down to 5 thousand something and I beat it on the first try!
Dropped down to 5680.

I already unlocked Joey Logano and Richard Petty. I unlocked 44 trophies. I think nobody could unlock 43 trophies. IT DOESN'T MAKE SENSE! Only 44 trophies.

You have to connect the remotes in the wii section before playing the game. Go to the wii menu select reconnect and push the 1 and 2 at the same time to connect the second remote then go back to the kart game and push the A button. You have to do that each time you play the game.
I don't have mario kart player so I can't get mine to work either
Click the home button, the highlight the wii remote settings, disconnect, then re-add one, then add the other right after that.
Maybe something's wrong with the disk or your Wii.Try it on a couple of friend's Wii's to see if it works there. If that doesn't work, Get your money back

I don't know any cheat code besides the one to unlock Joey Logano (426378). But I have a good strategy to unlock him the long way. What you need to do is unlock 43 trophies. I found it easiest is go to my best 5 tracks. I did all 8 events there (best lap, best team lap, distance challenge and the other one [I'm not sure what it is.....} and those on the reverse of the track). That will get you 8 trophies plus the track trophie. So the nine and if you do that five times youll have 45(or you could stop short). And there you go. -Answer by:RCShoe

You need to use Jeff Gordon at Daytona International Speedway because that is the easiest one.
I only know how to do it on Talladega you have to take the shortcut
You have to drive the best line and get all three boosts on the first lap, then use all of the boosts on the second lap. To get the third boost you need to power slide around a long curve.
You have to spend along time working on it so you can get legens.
