How do I hit more gapers and homeruns?

The way I get homeruns is to put the left anolog stick up and press x if you have it on rookie, square if on a higher level you should hit a homerun 20% of the time so its very hard to do
TAKE STEROIDS! every morning I jack myself up then play....got 103 Hr and a BA of .450....worked in the 90'-2005
You increase your power and contact, guess fastball press up on the right analog stick and try to swing perfectly pitches up in the zone are the best home run pitches

I just played a whole season in season mode and came in first. Just as someone else stated on this forum, that was it. Nothing. I could not get to the Division Series or the World Series. The answers to this question do not address the issue. Is there or not a way to continue the game to the Series. Is the game over or is there a disk flaw?

Are there cheats to get to the mlb on road to the show?

A1:
No because you have to get better by yourselves
A2:
Well, sort of. There are 3 ways.1. You edit people by going to features and hitting "Edit player" 2. go to features, roster control, player movement, and then put everyone you have at the position on f.a. for trash 3. create people by just hitting x repeatedly until there is the limit. Then go to features, roster control, player movement, go to the bottom of FA, and add these people for good people. (These all sometimes fail)

How do I get traded or change teams in road to the show?

You get traded automatically at random. You can only change teams when you are eligible for free-agency (6 years)
You just have to wait until your contract is up and then choose whatever team that is offering a contract you want
When it is about to be the trade deadline you can ask for a trade. It almost always works
Really just annoy the coach by interacting with him like complain about the team chimestry and why he pull you from the last game.and don't complete some of your goals.than you'll be automatically traded by the deadline.i know by a year of experience.

Why is the road to the show so difficult?

So that you have to spend more time playing it
Its not difficult you just need to be a smart batter, pitcher and feilder. MLB the show, wants you to feel like your actualy playing -Answer by:NYYanksBoy
It is easier if you are a pitcher rather than a hitter/fielder
as hitting well is more difficult than pitching well
Took less time to go from AA to the majors-
and you get bonus training points for making any all star roster during a season(I got 500 for making the NL All-star team as a pitcher
Your guy starts out with low points the more you play the more points then its easier I got 92 on power jacken it and straight to mlb
It's hard because you don't have patients...patients is the key just like the pro's in reality.find the pitch you like and crash it baby
It's not hard put it on Rookie turn sliders up on Player 1 on Contact, Power, Timing, and make sure you turn down injury frequency all the way so you dont have to bother with durability and dont worry about vision discipline at all those save for last other than that its easy I got to mlb on my 3rd season was 99 overall in 3 years....all star game and playoffs give you 3x training points so make the best of them
Heres a way to make it easier. Most pithchers have a 4 seam as their main or favorite pitch(sometimes its different but always choose the 4 seam or the running fastball if they dont have a 4 seam because its their fastest pitch and it speeds up your batters swing.) Always choose that pitch an guess the location up. This will let you know when a pitch is high and easy to hit and sometimes if its right down the middle. Since you guessd 4 seam you will know when the slower more difficult pithces to hit are coming so just ajust. Also since you are always guessing up if the location doesnt blink the ball can only be down so you wont strike out as much. The only thing thats still a little hard are balls away but youll learn to adjust(Oh an never listen to the announcers they tend to say some things that might make you change the way you are playing just go with what you see). A couple more things. Its easier to tell the speeds of other pithces when you guess 4 seam all the time because its the fastest pitch. Also there are four types of speeds slow 4 seam 80-86, Middle 4 seam 85-91, Fast 4 seam 92-96, and really fast 4 seam 93-100. When you have realized what speed the pitcher has you just need to speed up or slow down you swing. The last few tips are always press sqaure your ground balls are harder to get to, youll hit more homeruns, and get more extra base hits. Last be patient the pitcher is going to make a mistake(even on legend) so just wait for thst high middle pitch and swing away.
Start as a 20 yr old. Easy positions are 1st base, and corner outfield. Adjust your difficulty to rookie than as you get better move to veteran, and so on. Try playing than siming. You get more points, also save it after every adv goals are completed. You can also adjust your sliders to help you.
You have to play really well and do your goals once you get done with those just add up skills you want until your next set of goals mii power iz at 99 and im in tthe pros ever since my second year and im in the year 2015

Which is better for stealing Speed or Base running?

Get a plug that can atach to the computer and the ps2
Well dont listen to that guy he does not know wat he is talking about. well any way u go to manage rosters and go to hitting and put all the way up.
Bothof them are I suggest that you put both of them up
Speed for sure. If you put both of them up, you could be Ichiro when he was at his fastest, base running is how good of a jump you have. I put speed all the way up and base running about all down and i'm still about 100 for 105 in steals.
Both of them. you need to be good at base running and at your speed

I need some tips on Stealing bases?

Take a lead off whatever base your on. run when the pitcher goes into his windup. run that base you want steal and you steal
I always press L1 once to lead off then press L2 right away and he steals once the pitch is thrown
All u do is steal when the cacher has the ball. and o ya push square.
I have a catcher with speed 30 and 85 stolen bases in late July. The trick is to take 2 steps off of first, lean back to first, and look at the catcher. When the catcher moves, take off. He almost always moves before the pitcher begins his motions, so you get a better jump. To steal third, use the same method except with 3 steps off 3rd.
First show the pitcher that you're going to sac it, then press L1, then press L2. When the pitcher start his posture pull off the bunt att. and it'll be an easy steal
Here's a trick I came up with to steal home everytime but you dont get credited a stolen base.....take 3 leadoffs off 3rd I usually only do it when there are 2 outs...wait for the pitcher to move most likely he is gonna try to pick you off once you see him move run for home and hold up on the right analog if your speed is high enough maybe around 60-70 you will score everytime beat the runs record doin that
(This only works in road to the show)OK Speed isnt that important. I lead the league with 35 speed. Heres what you do. First you need to face the pitcher to get on base notice his speed on his pitches dont try to run to much on a guy thrown 97 98. Two when you get on base look at how long he takes to wind up remeber even the fastes guys get caught. Next take two to three steps (using r1) what ever the game allows. Then hold the get back button when ever the pitcher tries to pick you off you guy will get back safely 100% of the time as long as you hold get back. Ok now if you feel like taken off as son as you see the pitcher move just hold steal dont hesitate if he tries to pick you off your guy will get back because you where already holding get back. This works best with guys who arent really fast because they dont pitch out but ive only been caught stealing 8 times in a whole season with over 100 steals. For third you can do the same thing but its harder but you can get a bigger lead. Lastly on really slow pitchers(80-88) its super easy so dont be scared to take second then third ive stolen eight in one game second to third.

Batting issues?

Practice practice practice
Yes you need practice but what I do is, I always take the first pitch then I guess the next pitch is going to be a fastball, if its not then I dont swing if it is I swing. then if I dont swing I guess the next pitch will be a fastball again if it is then I dont swing and if it isnt I swing............pushing up on the left analog stick works sometimes..........you just need to be a patient batter -Answer by:NYYanksBoy
What I do is I wait for a pitch like a Change-Up Or A Fastball Then just swing when I get the pitch I want I am the Blue Jays and I have 89 Home Runs With Alex Rois Vernon Wells has 67
One read my "why is road to show?" so difficult youll thank me. Its the long one. Also when you guess the location it gos to that area so just swing if the pithc is there
