Yes there is a way go into game options then there should be a choice to go to global opitions then go down to throwing meter then you switch it to off then it wont be the gay rings just a red circle
You have to pitch as you would in real life. You MUST think, throw, field, and MOST IMPORTANTLY.......PITCH as a REAL PITCHER. Try throwing off-speed/breaking-balls first pitch to heavy-hitters looking fastball. DO NOT throw for strikes EVERY pitch. Get them to chase pitches just out of the zone. Pitch at each hitters COLD zone. DO NOT give up on a pitch even if a batter has fouled off 2 in succession or even taken 2. CHANGE pitch AND location for a pitch or two and THEN COMEBACK with YOUR strikeout pitch!
A2:
Well personally I never found it hard to challenge heavy hitters with a fastball on the first pitch, this game seems to take into consideration moral and the metal game well enough that you can pitch a little different than that of past games. But be careful, mistakes hurt.
No hes not in the game, they missed out on a few players that are still alive, (IE Hank Aaron, Cal Ripken, Bob Gibson) but you can create characters and assign them to teams, once they are assigned you can choose to use them in season or franchise. Its like they really exist. (Dizzy Deans delivery is in the game, its the closest to Gibsons)
Mainly in your batting. You'll get MAYBE 8-9 plays a game, so that won't net you many points. Try for raising their contact and power. I've gotten many of my points by just having huge offensive games.
A2:
You could just sim to a date and you will have training points or get putouts
It's because you have to save up. If you spend it on everything like an MRI room or upgrade your team's transportation to, say, a team plane, you will lose lot's of money. Also think about the players' salaries. If you need money, and are desperate, think about getting a sponsor or taking out a loan.
If you two have a keyboard just type and hit enter your chat will show up at the bottom of the screen or if you two have headsets jut make sure they are on
Start on rookie for one, you can change that in player 1 settings. Have confidence in your batting but dont swing at everything. Wait for your pitch. When your pitching dont be afraid to challenge good hitters with good pitchers. You will get burned sometimes, but overall youll get your timing down and youll become effective.
You MUST KNOW your pitchers AMOUNT OF BREAK for EVERY pitch he throws. Ex: If your Pitcher has a decent...35+...amount of movement on a 4-seam fastball, aim LOWER as this pitch RISES. The MORE VELOCITY, CONTROL, and BREAK your pitcher has the MORE you want to throw AGAINST BREAK...for EVERY pitch INCLUDING 4-seam fastball.
If your a first baseman you get a lot of putouts which equal training points and if your pitching you get at least 150 with each quality start one time I was pitching and I got 350 so the better you do in a game the more points you get
Dont simulate games. This causes errors and usually your player does not perform well which leads to less points. just do good and every time your manager gives you a goal (during a game) do it.
Make it to the all star game I played in AA all star game and got 370 pts 250 from just playing in the game and all other points were doubled also adjust your sliders to hit easier its still plenty hard. I play 1b so I get alot of putouts and play every game the cpu will suck for you and your stats will decrease
As a pitcher, build up your arm strength, pitching clutch, and your individual pitches. The individual pitches seem to go up faster than your other stats. This lets you pitch better. Also if you have unlocked some trophies for your profile, there are 2, unlockable prizes you can use for your profile. One that boosts pitch speed and one for pitch break. This doesnt help with control mind you.
Also as a pitcher, I suggest starting on a "bad" team. I made a pitcher for the Pirates. I did 1 year at AA and AAA. the next year at AAA and was a September call up. Then was in the majors rotation from day 1 the next year.
As a hitter, I was 1B for the Red Sox. Make a secondary position be one that that team is weak on. I was a 3b as secondary. So year 2 when I was in AAA, Mike Lowell got Injured and I got called up.
a lot of people on the web say to make Contact or Power all the way up. I went a different route and jacked up my Clutch Rating as fast as I could. What I found was when I simmed games, I got more RBI with a higher clutch rating.
Also guess the pitch and sit on fastballs. And Dont try to hit a home run every time. hit for average and let the HR come. If you try to hit a HR every time in the minors then you will just fly out a lot
In Rookie mode I had the same problem. I guess fastball every time and unless I am protecting with two strikes I dont swing unless I get the fastball. After you guess fastball push the Right analog stick up and as long as you time it perfectly you will find yourself hitting more homeruns. I try to wait for one up in the zone. Hope this helps!
After your rookie contract runs out, your team will probably offer you a contract. Don't sign! They will offer you arbitration. After 6 years in the league, you will go into free agency.
You may be playing through an injury. While you are doing that it won't give you attribute points. Once you are completely healed it will start giving you points again.
Depending on the position you are playing, you can simulate each goal period but, make sure to keep doing the goals too. I did this and made it to the Major's with a first baseman for the Pirates after playong a simming two seasons.
Well do wat ever possition you want but you have to make sure you do this in double A because the goals really dont count... o and your a sub.... if you look a the screen that has your ratings... its the box beside where it says scheduel and stuff if you press r1 once it should say status on the top and your rankings on the bottom... if you just bring up those ratings... I think it goes contact, power, feilding, speed and potential and you dont worry about the goals it will get you a higher OVERALL and that will help you in the long run to the bigs..... once you have got your overall up I start to do the goals but keppe the ratings up and dont let them slip!
