***Note: Do it with three players, as you will need one final character to cross the hole, as the whole bridge will not appear until you get one charater over***
Quicksave (f5), then move around individual people until the first and second platforms appear. If the platform disappears or become incorporeal, move that player back onto the tile he/she was just on and attempt to move another character. Once you know which characters to move to make the next platform work, Quickload (f9) and move your players onto the correct tiles.
Once both the first and second platforms are available to walk on, move the bridge character onto the second platform. Use this same strategy to get your character from the second to third, and third to fourth, and onto the other side. Once one character reaches the other end, the whole bridge will appear, and you can bring your whole party across.
For the third trial, select the option to remove all armor, and just walk across the fire. Good job, you saved the Arl!
I lettered the plates on the left side a-f, and the plates on the right g-l. Both sequences start on the plate closest to the entrance of the trial.
1: Place a party member (I used Alistair) on H (second plate on the right side)
2: Place a second member (I used Wynne) on C (third from the entrance on the left side)
3: Place a third member(I used Sten) on F (last plate on the left side)
4: Move your main character to the second block, as it should have appeared with the first block.
5: Move Wynne to Plate J(fourth plate from the entrance on the right side)
6: Move Alistair to Plate A(First from the entrance on the left side)
7: Move your main character to the third block.
8: Move Sten to Plate K(fifth from the entrance on the right side)
9: Move Wynne to plate B(second from the entrance on the left side)
10: Move your main character all the way across and the bridge appears.
**note** I wrote everything down on paper first, so if the pattern doesn't work, try flswitching the word left for right and the same goes for right.

I used the dev console to add some gold to my character and now the world map does not function. If I am in camp and select the npc's I want in my party, when I click accept I go back to just my character and the map does not display. If I load a save game where I am in a location with transitions between areas, the transitions work but when I try to travel the world map displays and clicking a different town has no effect. I even tried it loading the game without the console loaded.?

There's apparently a glitch in the toolset that can corrupt the values for various things in the original campaign.
The fix straight from Bioware employee Brian Dersken:
============
The Fix:
1) Load toolset, go to tool > export > Empty Export Directories
2) FIND:
Windows XP: My Documents\\BioWare\\Dragon Age\\modules
Windows Vista: Documents\\Bioware\\Dragon Age\\modules
*Delete the single player folder*
3) FIND:
Windows XP: My Documents\\BioWare\\Dragon Age\\packages\\core\\override
Windows Vista: Documents\\BioWare\\Dragon Age\\packages\\core\\override
*Delete everything in this folder*

*Bam* said the Lady!
I did exactly that and all of my saves worked fine!
Though before I did that I had reinstalled the game (But still had the problem so I doubt that is necessary). There's much more discussion about it here: ://social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/8/index/114380/2
This was my source but I did not do all the other crap this guy suggested, just the above. But if you need it, there it is.

runscript pc_immortal turn off pc_immortal
that works for me it set immortal:0

on the game U CAN ONLY USE 1 TIME the code (addxp (number)) it takes you to lvl 25...
second place you don't see what you are typing...so to test you press the key you select before and try to move your char...if he/she doesn't move it means it is working...and then try to use your code...and by the way SOME CODE ONLY WORK AFTER U SAVE AND ENTER AGAIN....good luck

them with the shortcut make you right click over it and press properties.
Under "Target" you must ADD the following: -enabledeveloperconsole (after "daorigins.exe")
Now you must search for the file (KeyBindings) probably it is on BioWare/Dragon Origins/Settings/KeyBindings. Inside that file you must locate "OpenConsole_0=Keyboard::Button_X Grave (Grave is default, CHANGE the X to any button thats not used by the game) on my case I use the TAB key.
DON'T FORGET THE SAVE THE FILE.
Start the game with the shortcut (u must run as admin) during the game use the key you select before and use the codes you want...don't forget you must use runscript before all codes...and if you don't see any bar or line don't worry...to test if it is working press they key you select and then try to move with your char....if the char doesn't move it works..if the char moves it is not working and you must see other key...GOOD LUCK

good luck

All you have to do is note the pressure plate combinations that create the different sections of the bridge, and work out how to change from one to another so you can progress without falling in.
Nice little challenge for you.

It is recommended that prior to typing in a code you make sure the line is clear by hitting backspace a few times first.
Even though the console was not visible it was still working. Not sure why it doesn't show but to be honest I don't need to see it as long as it works. Perhaps thats whats happening with you?

I am having trouble getting my DevConsole to work in DAOrigins.
I have created the short cut and put the devloper line in.
"D:Program Files (x86)Dragon Agebin_shipdaorigins.exe" -enabledeveloperconsole
i did not change the key like all the guides have said.
I get in game and hit "`" or "~" which ever you want to think of it as.
I have backspaced then entered the command
"runescript zz_money 20000" I have also tried "-20000" and nothing happens.
Please help!?

Copy the above line and replace the target.
Daorgins.exe -enabledevconsole
Press that key ingame, then type 1-2 letters and hit backspace (if you used the original key (^ or ´). Then type your desired cheat and press enter. The console in Dragon Age is invisible, no matter what key you use. To "See" if the console is open try to move your party via Keyboard, if they don´t move -> gz, console is open.
Another tip: the console seems to use the US-Keyset
runscript zz_money -20000
Citezyne

runscript zz_money 10000
for example.
