No, because technicaly, staffs need a certain number a magic points, (for example if morrigan has 20 magic and you want to use a staff that needs 18 magic then you can) but if for whatever reason, you want your mage to have 40 strengh then you can use all the swords, armor or anything you want that needs max. 40 strengh, so no, weapons/armor needs specific points, not classes, but some weapons (such as the spellweaver) can only be weilded by an arcane warrior -Answer by:phantom101

Easiest way to kill any caster is by using the mana clash spell. Almost always a caster has more mana then hps when you first encounter it. Mana clash simply deals spirit damage to the target equal to the amount of mana they have. Obviously the sooner you hit them the more mana they'll have to convert to damage, but if you don't manage to kill them, you still drain all their mana.

You can recruit Lili in Lothering in the bar. She talks to you after the people attack and you can accept or decline her offer to join you. As for the blood mage thing... I dont play as mages often sorry.

You can only get the blood mage specialyzation if you select the "power" option with the desire demon, the only other way is to buy a book from some merchant in the awakening expansion, as for leliana you recruit her from the inn in lothering when you fight loghain's men -Answer by:phantom101

Go to the sacred pool, fill up the vase with water, leave the pool, take it to the altar on the left, place it there, kneel and pray, take a SINGLE sip of water, remove the vase, dump it all back into the pool you got it from. Ta-dah.

I had trouble with the final battle. If you look, there are 4 giant crossbows, my stratagey was to pin down half of the darkspawn with Morrigans blizzard or other freezing/traping moves, then shoot at the dragon. I liked to use characters that could be pretty self reliant over doing massive damage (i.e. Shale,Allister). Don't forget to use the elves/dwaves/humans/magi they help quite a bit. But really just dont stand in the dragons fire and take em out as quickly as possible. It ends after a while.
1st call in templars or archers, templars arnt the greatest. and then fight the archdemon if you dont die it will fly to the middle of the place and then go to the arrow shooting things and then hold the trigger up and then it will look like your guy is moving back and forth in the arrow thing keep shooting it, and then the archdemon may fly up next you once or twice,fight the archdemon until it leaves to the middle again and then get back into the arrow thing and hold the trigger upward, if dosne correctly the archdemon will keep on roaring and you should kill it in about 10-15mins if you have patients. if this dont help look on youtube.
For easy win, you should use 2 mages, one equip with Staff of Magister Lord and the other with wintersbreath and only use the spells: Arcane Bolt for long distant attack and cone of cold for medium and short distant attack. The third one is Leliana equipped only with the bow: Marjolaine's Recurve and no other attacking equipment and you, the main character with the bow Falcon's Din's Reach and no other attacking equipment and start shooting the dragon. You can get a very easy win in a very short time. If you are played as mage origin, then 3 mages and one archer would be easy win.
Have a team of you morrigan sten and your dog while they should be handling the darkspawn use the huge croossbows to shoot the arch demon to distract it call in allies which you have lots of i.e dalish elves you have 50 it will kill them insread of you -Answer by:justme444
You need to get ALL the magical forms once your geared up change into your golem form and start wacking away and dont stop REMEMBER ONCE THE SLOTH HAS REACHED HIS FINAL FORM HE SUMMON A BLIZZARD ONLY YOU CAN SURVIVE so dont die while fighting him
Just keep at it. I had me, a mage, morrigan, alistair, and Wynne in my party. make a mage stand back and wail him with your spells when the others attack close up. He only has about 5 lives.
For me the key was noticing that I could use the lyrium stuff to restore my health in the middle of battle. Also, change forms to match the changes the sloth demon makes--fight power with power, fire with fire, spirit with spirit, etc.

If your prepared enough you can do it with just your main character use the lyrium to heal and use your transformations properly like when he is in fire form you turn into the fire form so his attacks dont work when in oger form use golem do not use the spirit thing it sucks

Here is how I did it. I am a mage, have Morrigan, Sten & Wyenne with me. Go to tactiics & make Wyenne a healer & make morrigan use winters grasp.
Switch to the golem form when the first incarnation attacks u. Pound him. For the next one, use burning man. After that, be the golem form & remain so until you kill the demon.
NB- 1. Do remember to replenish your health by using the lyrium veins.
2. Use something that gives you cold resistance. eg: ice salve or some amulet. U might find something in your inventory.
3. In between you can use the spirit form & use the jail spell & winters grasp. but remember to go back to your golem form.

You attack the tentacles first or that will do major damange to your party then go all out on the broodmother when the tentacles go down keep on doing the process dont worry about the other guys but make sure you bring a lot of potions

If you can't figure out the fire puzzle just upset the cat "Kitty" and fight her. The child may die depending on your exact choices but beating "Kitty" ends that part of the quest. Then return to the girls father and he gives you the right activation words for Shale.

You can change L2 from a press and hold to a toggle in the game settings. Makes it much easier to use. Also be aware that there can be a second set of radial menu selections. If one of the compass points at 90 or 270 degrees is "lit", then selecting them brings up the 2nd menu. I looked for hours for my Injury Repair kits and finally found them on the second level of the radial menu!
I did it quite early and easily (and without cheats!) with an Archer-Rogue and Arrow of slaying. My top damage hit 643 with high dexterity and a Tier 7 bow. Needless to say, it killed the target instantly.
Just use one of the warriors who specializes in 2-handed weapons, pick one who you don't play often and don't level them up until late in the game. Then, when you level them up, put all attribute points in strength and level the 2H skill to get the one with the critical hit. Then, basically go to town. If you are having challenges, you can always bring a mage along to hex your target or use the Armor degrading skills from the 2H character. This should do it for you, but it will require a major dump in strength. Haven't found this arrow of slaying the other person recommends, that might work too.
Well 2 hander warrior .. + the final blow skill in berserker class. with high willow power / strength this will hit over 250 EASILY. + sunder armor or anything that will put there defences down arrow of slaying will work to but this is waaaay more fun.

(BOX360) 1. locate a merchant. (Don't talk to the merchant yet). 2. Go into your inventory, and select (2 or more ) of the items you want to duplicate and place them into your Junk pile. (I recomend doing this one item at a time.. takes longer, or you can add multiple items into your junk). 3. Speak with the Merchant and select barter. 4. go to your junk pile and select (Sale all Junk). 5. buy all but one of your items back (You have to leave one of each item you want to duplicate). 6. "This is the part that might take a few tries" Highlight the Item you want duplicated in your junk pile. Press (Y) quickly followed by (A) (easier if you have one finger on (Y) and one on (A). when done right a screen will pop up asking how much you want to sale. Sale all of them, then buy back as much as you want to re-sale, example.. if the merchant has 40, buy back and sale back 39 to make (79), now buy back (20) and sale back 20 to get an exact (99) anything over that goes to the Merchant since you can only carry (99) of that Item. Buy all 99 items. exit and remove item from junk pile. Make sure you buy the right duplicated item before exiting. once you exit you have to purchase any item in junk of Merchant at full price. if this happens Just buy back (2) items and start all over again. I use it for Health, Injury kits and building up Gold. To build up gold. Build your mosrt valuable Health, (Potent=27gold) Greater (17gold) Up to (99). Buy all 99 of them, do the (Y) and (A), and sale back all of them.. reapet this process as many times as you want, when done right you will see your Gold building up by (27) or (17) each time you sale your item (17). Takes a while, but worth having all the gold you need to buy any weapon or armor. Also works with Tomes if you have two of the same.. Tomes allow you to give points to your characters. You'll need 2 of the item you want to duplicate, then put them in your junk and sell one of them and after that you have to click on the buttons to sell all and sell very fast after each other. Sometimes you'll have to try more if you don't do it fast enough.
It works fine, but when starting to use the Tomes, be careful. When you´ve filled up all spells for example and still have more attribute points to spend you wont be able to exit the level up screen. Yeah well you can exit it but you wont be able to level up.
That's why you don't cheat. :P
If you run out of spell slots, you can no longer level up. You need to account for this and not fill up all your spell or talent slots when you use this cheat if you want to continue leveling up.
There are other books you can duplicate later in the game.

If have another saved game with a different character name on the same user you will have to delete it(ps3) then the new users gameplay will work

I really dont suggest using it for more than just a few levels or it messes up the game somewhat, it makes the rest of your characters less customizable as they will already be auto leveld. But if you must know all you have to do is get to the part when you go into the wilds with allister and the other 2 nobodies. Go around kill everything but DO NOT get the documents. You need to make sure to get the 3 darkspawn vials and then go back to Duncan and tell him that you got the vials but not the papers. Then just repeate the process.
I understand that but when I tell duncan I got the blood he says that nice but you need the documents we stop speaking then I go to talk to him again and I dont get to pick "i got the vails but not the documents" sentince all I can pick is the im leave for the wilds sentince wat am I doin wrong

I believe that you have acquired a specific armor for your team. The fire should be protecting them and making there attacks stronger. There is no need to use a first aid kit because the fire isn't harming them but rather helping. My characters including my dog are also as you would say on fire, but it is because they are equipped with it.

The mage in your party is using the sustained spell flame weapons. Making all melee weapons deal additional fire damage to enemies. There's also frost, telekenisis, and shock versions of the spell.
