You have to be very quick with it, in my experience you don't want to hit triangle and x at the !same! time, but instead hit triangle AND THEN x as fast as you can. Have your left index on the triangle and your right index on the x if you can't do it fast enough with one hand.

Do you see an enemy highlighted when you are trying to smash the door? This happened to me, I would walk up tot he door and press X and my guy was trying to attack the creature behind the door...I had to walk around and wait till the enemy was not highlighted anymore, then I could press X and beat down the door.

On the ps 3 verison you have to fight in the fade alone. I used all the shape shifter abilites to beat it. I was a mage so I could use the plants for health. Non mages cant do this

It works, but you almost need to be holding the Triangle button and immediately hitting the X button. I'd say it's maybe 1/10th a second between hitting them, so I actually can only do it when I use two hands.

You need to go to a different area to get the golem shapeshifter. He can knock down any metal door
You must first receive the Golom shapeshift ability. I believe it's on another "Island". Once you get that, you can smash through the massive doors. You can not complete each area one at a time, you must do what you can - move on - and come back later to get through barriers you couldn't get through earlier.

What some stores offer changes slightly throughout the game. I'm betting this is for the dupe cheat, so in that sense, this is a reference that the new tomes will be available. Look to your left (as you had faced during the conversation) - the door is right there, it connects back up to the main hall.
There's a big door that opens in the same room where the curse was lifted .it goes strait up some steps and out side.
Once, after the fight in the lair, an error caused witherfang to remain stood as in the cutscenes just before. This somehow prevented the doors from opening. To solve the problem, I just restarted from a save before the fight, and everything worked out fine then.

Yes, you can have expierence with up to 3 characters. morrigan: goes both ways. lelliana: is straight. zevran : both ways . alistar :straight. so the max is three for what ever gender you are.

Each origin has a diffrent amount of gold. All the same exp though. Just depends on how tough you are. I generally like the mage to earn gold. I'd have to agree that the Dalish Elf is greatest for profiteering, also don't forget to add steal to your skill list and then steal from merchants and sell them back their item -muwahahahha-

Dwarven noble is best, not worst: 30G. sell everything, including Dace's 100G IOU, to silk merchant before speaking to Trian in his room.
Dwarf noble actually, cause before you go into the deep roads you can sell all your items,and also when you talk to the scholar/bruntin and side with the scholar, you can get just over 3 gold, and if you help lord dace and you ask for cash as a reward, after speaking with your father talk to him and ask him for cash, he will give you a letter with can sell for over 12 gold -Answer by:phantom101
I used shale wynn lelinna and my dude a human warrior, sent my dude and shale in and lelinna and wynn stayed back. I used wynn and her healing powers to make sure everyone stayed alive
Get somebody who can use herbalism and go to the shop in the party camp and buy lots of flasks and go to the forest with the elves. then go to varathorn and buy lots of elfroots to make tons of lesser health poltuces. now use those in battle and get some ranged party members and some melee party members. place lots of traps where flemeth stands and try the fight with all of that.
Dont have morrigan with you and use allisar yourself another character and your wolf and when you fight only use your wolf and use the howl or whatever that stuns her and make sure you have a ton of health restorers
. she once you get the the place where morrigans mother is,flemeth will say kill me or let me go and tell morrigan you slayed me. well you can let her go, if you want to or kill her.

Hi the best way to kill her is to be a blood mage and use the second abliity you unlock here is a video
You have to get her mother grimore from the tower of magi, and keep gaining her favor until she asks you for a favor, she will tell you that the grimore is not Flemeths real one but only tells about how she has lived for so long, so she asks you to go kill her and get the real one, so try to do the magi cirlce quest quite early so you have time to get morrigans approval up
Well... I play as a mage... so I wait till im at least level 12-15 and then I go to get flemmeth. First I stay back and just shoot things at her, but the main part in defeating her is to keep freezing her with the freeze blast not the first, but the 3rd ice move unlocked. Just keep doing that and keep attacking. Or you can unlock thunderstorm/firestorm/icestorm and keep putting those on her.
I killed her as a archer cause she doesn't move - I used two member Wynne and me - use high fire resistance armour like dragonscale armour / drakescale armour

The way I killed her is First Set Traps where she will land for Initial Damage, then Use Shale (if you have Shale) for Melee wearing Large Fire Crystals for Fire Resistance. Use Leliana and Myself with Bows at a Range and Wynne on Healing Only. And keep eveyone spread apart due to the Fire Blasts.
All you really need is wynne and a high lvl arcane mage with fade shroud and wade's superior dragonbone plate armor
I soloed her with a mage using a 2 handed sword. There is an opening in her defense behind her rear legs. Run around her and heal then go in and attack the hind legs. I was level 6 when I did this.

She is going to turn into a high dragon, so use ranged attacks
You dont have to kill her she will bargin with you and you can walk away with what morrigan wants. If you do fight her she turns in to a dragon and is hard to beat. I got killed trying to fight her. Your better off leveling up if you wanna fight her. If not then choose not to kill her and get the thing you need to get and leave

Yes it does not work for the ps3 as far as I know, but there is another one that does work. when you arrive in lothering go over the bridge and take a left you should see a young woman outside a house, talk to her. she will ask if you can make traps and you get a new quest to do so (you must have someone in your party who can make traps when you talk to her). if you have no trap triggers go to the inn and buy some, I just kept buying 99 of them, made them into traps and gave them to her you can do this as many times as you want. you make more gold than what it cost to buy the trap triggers and some experience, this does take up a lot of time. I did it for an hour once and made like 400 gold if I remeber correctly and leveled up a few times

After you save the earl go back to camp. donate 30 gold and keep doing it till you have none you will get experience till you run outta money. then go to the dwarfs, place your most expensive item in your junk. tap triangle then x really fast and keep doing so. repeat repeat repeat. then go back and donate all your money again.

There is a solid piece of ground in the middle of the room, the legs don't get you if you stay on solid ground, have some health potions and use bows. be ready for the other monsters
To kill the Broodmother. Don't directly attack her. Attack her tenticles and darkspawn first and then her. Also use plenty of special attacks on her.

If I recall correctly, I took my mages and allistar, I used the cone of cold, and weapons frost, focus on the blood mother and make sure you have group heal and revival. this helped quite a bit.
U buy or make alot of heath potions and use them but I killed its tenticles first and dont go to close or it will shake you to death xxx
Get a mage to use the blizzard spell combined with any other spell that lasts a while and does damage like the fire storm, then focus all your attacks on the tentacles and any darkspawn that come, you do not need a healer for this. Then have two other ranged attackers along with your mage or have 2 mages. Then have a strong warrior dish out some pain on the brood mother and keep freezing her and use the spells that make her take more damage, surprisingly they are really helpful. Ive beaten the whole game without a healer, they are not as necessary as most people make them to be.
You have to have the golem form to open the doors. You cannot complete the pentagons without all 4 forms and you have to go back and forth between the levels to get all the upgrades too.
Your need to shapeshift into a Gollem.

There are only two. It happens when you start the human noble origin. One happens in the day and the other happens at night time.
The day time one is your preference of seducing Iona or Dairren. You have to speak to your mother first and then head back to the room off the side of the library and talk sweetly to whomever you want to seduce.

I tried that, and mine still wont work. its been like 3 or 4 days now. I left it on all night the first night, NOT on pause...thinking maybe it was a time thing. and nothing the next day. and then last night I took it out and turned my ps3 off the whole night. and this morning nothing. i've even loaded from the last save. idk what to do. theres no way i'm starting the game all over again just to beat it once. i've been trying to look for cheats thatll help me skip this part or fix this, because i've read a lot of posts that are the same problem I am having.
Dude, what you do it you have everyone wait with the knights near windmill, and when you face the burning area of oil, look to the left and you can urge your way thru it without getting damaged by fire, you then run up the way towards the green mist and grab the zombies, and keep doing this still you kill em all.
Dude go find morrigan and get some. then you have the final battle

You can only get the key for that chest in the beginning of Ostigar, when you first show up to it after the origin story. You have to talk to the prisoner in the cage. You can either bring him food and water for the key or kill him and take the key. If you have Alistair with you and give the prisoner food and water he gives you a positive approval. You have to make sure you talk to the prisoner until he reveals he has the key, or tell him you'll accept it for getting him food and water.
If you don't get the key then you won't be able to get into the chest. You can open the chest at night when it's not being guarded.

You might want to strengthen your party when facing the desire demon head on, they are strong and will gang up on you, wynne doesn't use spells to do damage upon them but uses her magic for healing, so upgrade her spells, and try to strengthen the rest of your party
In a way, yes. Add the ranger specialization as early in the game as you can to all rogues, and make sure to activate the first square for ranger skills, which is the wolf. Leave your camp with the number of rogues you desire, and if by chance you are one too and all party members you chose are rogues, you can end up with 8 party members in a sense. All you have to do is when you enter an area you have to fight something in, summon your animals, (first level: wolf, second: bear third: spider fourth: its an upgrade for the others, like for a wolf it will now be a blight wolf, a bear will be a grizzly bear, and the spider will be a poisonous spider) and you dont need to worry about a time limit on them. they only dissapear if you enter a new area, but until then, they stick with you until the end. :) and theyre very strong, and hard to kill, but if the character dies, so does his animal (kinda like Eragon)
