Guitar Hero 5
No,its not in any of the versions.they took it out right before the release. I'm downed about it too
No, Unfortunately some Features aren't able to put into a PS2 console maybe because its too old. Some Features that are missing: Challenges, Music Studio, Drop In And Out, and Party Mode. There may be more.
A2, I have gh5 for ps2, and there is party mode
all you need to do to access it is press yellow when at the main menu

Maybe its because of the disk...does the disk have any scratches or anything?
A2:

I had same problem with my slim PS2. Disc read error. I cleaned the laser with a cotton swab dabbed with alcohol and it's played great since. Sony recommends sending the unit in for a "driver update" that will cost you $45. Try cleaning the laser first.
A1:

Just go straight to your career and when you keep going you will see the character you have press Edit Rocker or something else that should be there.
A2:

The "2 of 8" means you used of 2 of the 8 available custom character slots. When all 8 are used, you can't make any more custom characters.
To change back and forth, in career, click "Edit Rocker" or the same option on the main menu. Just select the character you want, hit "Edit" then "Save". If that doesn't fix your problem, I don't know what will. -Answer by:Arcringno

I just rec'd Guitar Hero 5 (with the guitar but I don't know what kind it is, but it's wireless) and it's not working properly. I have HDTV, wifi, and surround sound and someone told me that's why I'm having a problem. Someone told me to go to options, "calibration", and mess with the lag. I've done that many times now and although it seems to get a little better, it still isn't right. Other than taking the whole thing back and getting a "wired" guitar (I've used my neighbor's and it works great), is there something you can suggest?

Same prob here

You could try replacing the batteries in the guitar or try resyncing it to the reciever.
if those dont work, then I have no idea what you should do. sorry if this doesnt help

A1:

Its probably because you have a special edition did you buy it wit the game or from a pawn shop or a game store like gamestop
A1:

I think you might be able to. but I think it either needs to have a usb plug, or you need a ps2->ps3 plug converter thing
hope this helps

A1:

You cant
A1:

Yes you can you can play with any controller on any guitarhero games for example you can use a gh5 contorler on a ps2 band hero but its not the same with the drums though.
A2:

Nope....kinda pissed me off that I finally got a guitar controller and it work work with any version of gh except gh5 (the version I bought the guitar with)
A1:

I just did the same thing. Bought the new 90001 slim PlaystationTwo, got guitar hero 5 with the wireless guitar, and guitar hero 3 legends of rock...After alot of frustration I found out that the wireless guitar from guitar hero 5 will not work with guitar hero 3 because the USB dongle ( the receiver for the guitar ) doesn't start, im not sure if this is because the game wasn't made to play with a wireless dongle, but I can tell you that GH5 guitar will not work with GH3. I think the best thing to do is search for an original GH3 guitar and use it, thats what im gunna do.
Hope this helps.
Hope this helps.
A2:

T recommend 2 other ideas:
1. Get a gh3 guitar
2.band hero & GHWT guitars work great!(I Have them both)

A1:

You cant you need to buy a usb microphone
A1:

GH 1 and 2 were not programmed to use the USB port on the PS2, the red light on the USB wireless controller box does not blink after the disk loads like it does on GHWT or GH5. The blinking light means the USB wireless box is looking for the GH5 guitar controller, and becomes solid when it finds that the GH5 guitar controller has been turned on. Not sure on GH3 game, but I don't think it works with the GH5 controller either.
A2:

The gh5 wireless controller doesn't work with gh3 either
A1:

Try checking the brand and your console does it match if it doesnt work you should return it
A2:

Make sure the disc is put label-up in the disk drive. If guitar- make sure the wireless receptor is plugged into the USB slot in the front. If you don't have PS2 slim, you might not have this. When the system boots up, make sure the light on the receptor is on. Then press the "PS" button on the guitar (Looks like knob). This should work with all other instruments. -Answer by:Arcringno
A1:

Dont Think so man cause if you try to it will say Please insert a guitar hero microphone
A2:

You Cant Because it will say your instrument is disconnected but there is a trick if you have the real GUITAR or maybe even DRUM then try playing the song you want press START when your in and plug in your controller and press RESTART This is important because if you press resume it wont work. Just switch back. (This is most likey for songs that are hard)
