This is also happening to me too. they reappear at full speed. when I press select, I have to accelerate and my start is sloooow.
i also noticed that they don't get any penalties. that's so annoying.

I am using the 135i Coupe and getting around 4500, that's on the low side
I'm assuming you mean on the Ebisu drift race in the Tier 3 series in which case you cannot use the BMW mentioned by a previous answer. I too am having trouble attaining this star. So far using the Viper has gotten me up to 1,301 points but it's very frustrating. The most I've managed to score in one round is about 469 points and, obviously, you need to average at least 500 per round. One thing I've found that I have had to do repeatedly is hit the start button and start over whenever I see that I'm not going to make the 500 point level. If anyone else has any suggestions I'd appreciate it also. I've scored 1115 of the possible 1124 stars on the medium difficulty setting and the 1500 drift score along with spinning opponents on two races and the 3 second corner slides on two others are the ones that I'm just not able to get for some reason.

You can find those 2 cars on on-line racing, when you select your cars there are different options, street cars, loan cars, your cars and cars won, on the last one you'll find those cars.

The codes are probably just to make them available to buy from the car lot

I know when you level up and win a car it does appear in your garage. It just makes the car available for purchase. So you may have to purchase the car from the car lot.
All the cars you win after a couple levels are not in your garage they are in quick game and in online gaming. -Answer by:Umy1985

The fast gt mustang (not gt500, its faster than that) , you gotta unlock it by getting into tier 2 cars, with aggressive driving I think

At the start of a race, if you're at the back of the grid, ram and spin your opponents in front for quick points, if you're at the front let them pass you then do the same as above

U cant upgrade tier4 cars because they are already fast enough other wise you spin out all the time
Tier 4 Cars are already totally upgraded. You can Tune them though

You actually have to have progressed to a Tier before you can use your game dollars to purchase a car. So, in Tier 3, gather your scores to advance to that level, and, voila, there the cars are to buy/ -Answer by:Pierre Vite

First you must install a nitro pack then in a race hold down the O buton with the gas,and it will activate. wesley schepens
It comes in automaticlly if you have got it at high speeds
Yes, it's the O button....doesn't seem an immediate boost but you will see the nox bottle slowly deplete
In order to use nitro keep pressing the O button on a nitrous enabled car
Ok, first equip your car with nitrous, then when you go race, select the car that has nitrous. then when you race there will be a white bottle on the hud, to use press and hold the o button. sadly the boost is not to powerful, and there is no smoke. But you can tell it is working because the white in the bottle drains as you boost.

Any car with the works package will work. hence the meaning of WORKS RESTRICTED!

Click on your car and go to upgrades max out all of them then if the car you have had a w beside it.At the bottom of upgrades it will say press select for works

Just hit the E brake going in to every turn. You just have to make sure you maintain control when you do it. You only get 9-12 points for most of them, but they count as slides. Once you get your star for 10 slides you can race normal again.
