Need for Speed Shift
You can use the pre-configured car in some races. I use them online by pressing the 9 key to select different cats.
These cars are available only in quick race mode......
I had a hard time finding them also. They are only available in Quick Race and Online. When choosing a car, hit 9 on your keyboard until yo usee "Reward Cars".

Don"t do works on the Lamborghini, it tops out at 140 mph with down force on the lowest settings!

We can find d3dx9_41.dll files in directx setup. Fisrt extract file named d3dx9_41.dll x64. It will go into documents in your comuter. then copy it, then go to c: programs windows/system32/and paste it. now enjoy!

There is no track to reach 400 K/MH. But the track with the longest straight circuit is Nordschlife

It has to do with the versions. But, you can go to the official Need for Speed: Shift website and download the patch which will give you 5 extra cars.

When you have done 3 tracks out of 5 and quit the race how do you get back in and start at the 4th race instead of starting at the first. Is there a way to bypass the first 3. Those 20 laps are murder.?

That is a nasty glitch in the game I think. Happens with the viper too.
That's a bad glitch in the game for some tracks and cars. you can't help it so just get another car.

I had the same problem with the Vette, here is what you do....Take your tuning off "advanced" then go back to the main menu and save. When you go back to Career mode, try to race with the Vette again and it should work.
Press f to see the whole car.

Your laptop or computer ram would be slow
The handling is a problem whit US muscle cars, you just have to tune it the right way. (suspension tuning)
None of the above answers are correct. I have a corvette and with the works upgrade the power is packed into your car, so when you take off it revs hard and the rear wheels spin. I suggest you take off a bit slower and accelerate steadily after turns.

Corvette ZO6 is a american muscle car so it hasn't so much control but a incredible acceleration... you should searck for tier upgrade or suspension and in turns dont accelerate to much and you will do just fine.
The other replies seem like they didn't read the question. Try switching to the simpler adjustment menu when you tune the car. Then turn the over/under steering slider closer to under. It worked for me with every rear-wheel drive car I tried. Keep in mind I am using a keyboard on the pc so I can only be hard on the gas or completely off.
OK I have had similar issues with the Nissan Z350 Z33, the Audi TT 3.2 Quatro and the Shelby GT 500 Mustang, when fully upgraded all these cars spin up in at least the 1st 4 gears, which makes control almost impossible. How I over came this was to change the wing and front splitter to max cornering then set the Final drive to max Speed, you will need to tweak the other settings to suit your driving style to get the most from it.
This has worked well for me so far, so give it a try, hope it helps.

Tweak your suspension set-up. Set your car's steering more towards understeer and max your final drive to distribute your torque range (in other words, your tires won't spin so much, and instead your top speed will increase)

Its only avalable when you pre order it and it should be in the box
You should increase your driver skill and finish tier 1 since this car have unlocked when you finish the first tier
Mazda rx-7 is great, dont upgrade too much you dont rly need the speed though it helps a bit like a ford shelby but you need hrs to get it right with 500bhp
The smaller cars are best for drifting like the bmw coupe audi tt and other cars
Any car is great, switch to manual transmission and run the whole drift event in 2nd gear, 3rd gear max, I had a horrible time with drifting till I tried this and it works like a charm
Corolla GTS twin cam is the best of the best of the best Drift king.It's so solid...

BMW M3 E46 ia very good.
The Ford Shelby GT500 is the best. Just make sure not to put all the performance upgrades otherwise you WILL spin off.
I love ford escort awd and fully upgraded. beets 350z and almost any car in tier 1 and 2
