Drain the mote after you beat bowser in the dark world and you will see a hole thats not in water. jump in and you will ned to becareful to make it to the switch!
3 are in the hidden block levels ( metal cap, flying cap, invisible cap) collect the 8 red coins in each. An other one is in the princes's secret slide level. In the room with the sunken ship level there is an opening on the wall go into it to find a collect the 8 Red coins level. (You are under water the whole time so ise coins to replenish health)
the rest are the 100 coin stars for the main levels.

Some mushrooms dudes give you stars,so theres some.Get all red coins in the cap switch areas,that's three more,and get all the red coins in all bowser areas.Thats about it.It helps to get 100 coins in each course too,for every hundred coins,you get one star,for every fifty coins,you get a life.

One is down in the basement where a bunny is running around and you have to catch him. He will be hopping around and when you catch him, he will give you the star. This bunny will only appear when you have around 20-30 stars. He only appears untill you catch him. After you catch him, he is gone.

I assume you mean Whomp's Fortress. If you get into the cannon, look at the two walls jetting out (look towards the island in the sky). One clearly has a fault line running along it. Aim for this fault and you will blow up the corner of the wall. -Answer by:TripleJump
Q:At Hazy Mazy Cave I'm just not able to get 100 coins. Do you've got any tips 'bout where I can find a lot?
A1:
The coins in this level are fairly spread out so you have to search the whole level. Make sure you are killing the spiders, bats and those white floating things that shoot black balls. Also, getting coins that are worth more than one coin (such as the red and blue coins) will make the job go a lot faster. If you go to the Hazy Maze Cave, there is a white box you should pound to make blue coins appear.

The coins are throughout the level. You will have to search the whole level to find them. Also, for a tip, jump on spiders and anything that is a threat, you will get coins.

Get 120 stars and jump into the cannon at the pond aim at the room and collect the 3 1-ups and Yoshi is there. he gives you 100(!) lives and a spechial tripal jump!(Mario Sparcals with the tripal jump)

To get yoshi, you have to collect all 120 stars, and when you do then the connon by the small pond will not be blocked anymore, therefore you can use it to cannon yourself on top of the roof and see yoshi! :D (and 3 power ups, and hatwings, plus the best of all...YOSHI WILL GIVE YOU 100 POWER UP! :D :D :D :D :D)

You must leap into the volcano. This time riding the moving platform to the lef of the starting point. There will be a second platform, so be ready to jump off the first platform when it reaches the second platform.

Use your triple jump or any jump that might get you to the top.

I've had the same problems and it took me so long to get to at least 5. I know how to get on one of the very tricky ones that stumped others, I can only get this one and four other easy ones you probaly know how to get to already. if you want to get to the of the building, (next to the brick walls) you jump on top of the brick wall, run fast along the edge,and when you get to the end of it, you do a long jump. (z then a) This is how you get to one. This should work. The rest are pretty tricky, I have not figured out how to get on the rest but this one and the easy ones! at least I know how to get on one! I've had this problem for a while till' I FINNALY got all the coins! So now, Im going to tell you about the hard ones. The one by the brick walls that looks like an apartment building, Ill tell you first. Firt of all, you go on the brick wall and run along the edge-FAST! Then when you get to the end you do a long jump. ( z then a ) For the other ones you have to wall-jump from wall to wall to get to the top.
Q:How do you make the bunny appear in the basement?

To make the bunny appear, you have to get around 20-30 stars and he will come in the basement. He only appears untill you catch him. So when you catch him, bye bye bunny for the rest of the game. And he is very hard to catch-its a pain in the butt! >:(

You must catch him once. it's not easy but it's possible.. then after getting another 10 stars you can catch him again. ENJOY :D
A3:
A2 is not exactly right. Everytime you collect 30 stars you get him again and again. Its happened to me before.
