In the DS version, you can be Luigi by unlocking him at his portrait in haunted mansion. In the N64, I've heard a lot of methods to unlock him, and all that I did weren't true, o, for me, you can't have it on N64.

After you empty the moat there will be an opening on the bottom need the waterfall. You will come to a new level in such to start out I visible. Go down the huge slide but be sure not to fall off the edge at the bottom. They will be this black dots that shoot fire at you. The invisibility will protect you from harm but run past them because it will run out quickly. Just triple jump to the high ledge behind the seasaw like platform. Then to will come to a series of platforms that are moving up and down just pass over them but don't stay on them too long because they flip at the top.you will come to an other seasaw then more moving platforms. Then hit the big switch to activate the blue blocks. ( there is a hiden star in this level just collect the 8 red coins. The star will be by the switch.)
after recieving 10 stars, a lighth should show in the main castle entry. Look up into the light and it will take you to a flying level, after that return to the 1st level and find the red box on top of the floating island. This box has the hat inside! Have fun and fly away!
after you got 10 stars, Enter inside the castle and you will see a light. Use the Camera to see it near then you will see yourself flying around. When you go down press Z then pound the big button.

Some mushrooms dudes give you stars,so theres some.Get all red coins in the cap switch areas,that's three more,and get all the red coins in all bowser areas.Thats about it.It helps to get 100 coins in each course too,for every hundred coins,you get one star,for every fifty coins,you get a life.
One is down in the basement where a bunny is running around and you have to catch him. He will be hopping around and when you catch him, he will give you the star. This bunny will only appear when you have around 20-30 stars. He only appears untill you catch him. After you catch him, he is gone.
2 are in the secret slide, one to beat the slide, another to beat the slide under 21 seconds. then there are the 3 bowser levels, collect the red coins there. another one, in the sea level on 1st floor, an empty square to jump into, collect the red coins. In the cap levels, collect stars there. that is all I know of, maybe more later. oh, and the bunny, twice. bye!

Get 120 stars and jump into the cannon at the pond aim at the room and collect the 3 1-ups and Yoshi is there. he gives you 100(!) lives and a spechial tripal jump!(Mario Sparcals with the tripal jump)
To get yoshi, you have to collect all 120 stars, and when you do then the connon by the small pond will not be blocked anymore, therefore you can use it to cannon yourself on top of the roof and see yoshi! :D (and 3 power ups, and hatwings, plus the best of all...YOSHI WILL GIVE YOU 100 POWER UP! :D :D :D :D :D)

Well on star 1 you just need to pick up the bomb-ombs he throws and throw them back at him.next time you have to pick him up and throw him.

You must go to the cloudy maze with the acid clouds. You will find a little hill that has one mole occupying it. If you run past the hill, you will see green slime on the wall around the next turn. if you look above the slime there is a door. Jump up and go through the door. There is an elevator. Ride it to the top and grab the star.

A1 hasnt got all of them. The last one is when you go into the door that leads to the sea course look behind you. You will see a hole in the wall. Double jump (a three times) into the hole and collect the 8 red coins. -Answer by:Jamy08
