MLB '10: The Show
A1:

Go to features on main menu then go down to roster control click it then chose "your" team on the menu then chose player movement the keep pressing r1 till you get to free agents the chose your gut.
A2:

It is a bit cumbersome.
From the main menu go to "FEATURES" and select "ROSTER CONTROL" After that it is pretty easy, but do small changes at a time because it will make you "validate" your new roster. Basically what they mean by that is that each roster has no more than 25 players and the rotations are complete as well as the line-ups. You will find your player in the 'free agent' area.

This method works for me. Turn autosave off. Then start a game (sim to next appearance) Sim to end of the game (Exit) You still get the training points without playing. Make sure you get at least one hit in every game. The ones that you have to pinch hit for will be annoying (you might as well bat those yourself) Hit streak milestone training points are awarded at the 5th, 10th, 15th, 20th,... and 50th games, after 50 reset, since you will not be able to win anymore
No he is not in this game because the programers did not know how good he would actualy be in the bigs but he will be in the next one, but brice harper won't be until 2012.
No
MLB 2010 (The game) was actully copyrighted in 09 and Strasburgs first game was in 2010 which means Strasburg wasn't in the MLB yet so he's not in the game yet.
Yea if you create him

Decline all contracts until you are forced to enter draft and then it says :
select team or enter draft then choose select team
select team or enter draft then choose select team
A1:

You cant

I hit a homer every 8.2 at bats, just keep getting your power up and contact up with player. mine are in the 90's
A1:

If your going to steal in rtts make sure you don't take a giant lead unless the first baseman or second baseman is off the bag. right before the pitcher starts his leg kick press r1 and move the left analog stick towards the bag if the baseman is on the bag lean back by pushing the left analog stick towards the closet bag it is the same thing in regular mode but the person dive back automaticlly
A2:

L2 is the "all steal" button. Its a matter of timeing. With a man on first, just before you think the picher is going into his kick, hit L2 which if done on time or reasonably close will send your player stealing. Be shure to take a lead prior to stealing or your shure to be thrown out. To take a lead hit L1 as the screen changes to the pitcher mode. You can lead off after screen changes but your more likely for them to try a pick off. If you have a man on third you have to select the man at first base by hitting the 0 button and hold it down then hit the L1 to send the runner to steal. To do a double steal if on 1st & second same process as stealing second from first.
A1:

Only on a created player. Most game players are locked in.
A1:

When batting wait for the pitch you guessed as well as push the right analog stick up before each pitch. This technique has my average at .530 in the pros.
A1:

Go to edit player option. Simply set your primary and secondary positions located near the bottom of your players' info eg. height , weight, and number
Same. I have no idea why....That includes RTTS also...I'm getting bored VERY fast with it, because the players suck, and won't get any better. You barely get any points in-game, then you have to spend it on advancement goals, then you have literally NO points to spend on things you want.

You can adjust your contact and power in the my sliders option menu in rtts. Also turn off the auto save option and save your career yourself. And save it often. If you have a batting or fielding training session save your career before you play it. If you screw up or hit poorly simply quit and re-load your career to try again. Same thing with a game, if you go 0-5 simply do the same quit and re-load trick. Save after every good game and you will see your average raise quickly. Using this method my created player is hitting over .400 and has good power because of all the extra training points I've picked up in his two year career by having 5,10, 20 game hitting streaks.
Make sure your not playing at a difficulty very hard and patience is key. also dont power swing often unless you know the ball is going to get hit out of the park. if you contact swing you at least have a chance to check it. keep a lookout for player stats!

I have my pitchers fastball velocity at 99. but he is still only throwing about 89 to 92. How do I get his velocity up?
Question from: nomad23(7)
Let him warm up for about 5 minutes
Just keep warming him up for a few minutes an he should throw faster oh yeah wait til he is warm
Velocity isn't always the key. I tricked out the Detroit Tigers by getting all good pitchers and putting VELOCITY, SPEED, and BREAK all at 99 and every time I throw my fastball it's either 98, 99, 100, 101, 102, or even 103. But one thing you must let your guy warm up if he is a reliever but if he is a starter than he is already warm.
Make sure you press the power meter (when the bar is on the way up) at its highest which is in the red zone
Edit the player! I do that! the picther will be the BEST in the world TRUST ME
In order to have pitches to the full potential of velocity you also have to get more stats or points on your control, control has some influence in making faster pitching successful in most cases like this one,try it...
