There are no empty lots in the console version however you can select your house and say you ant a new house and you may also edit the house you have by changing the walls and stuff to make it the way you want
You can go to town map, click your house then click replace house. one of the replacement houses is an empty lot. hope this helps :)

Hi erm there are no empty lots but if you want to build something just go into edit mode andd bulldoze it!

A3 is correct
The easiest way to get an empty lot is to do what A2 & A3 said. Just go to town map and select your current house, interact and choose relpace house. Answer yes to both of the questions and the empty lot will pop up. Now this also works for homes you have downloaded from the EXCHANGE. If you want to use one of those homes follow the same steps and the house you've downloaded will pop up...choose one and enjoy. Now if your game freezes up when you try this, try getting an empty lot firs then go back and choose the house you want.
A2 is correct and so is A3. You go to town map, Select your house, Click replace house, Click yes 2x. Then there will be like a Bunch of houses in a list. Just go to the empty lot, Click it! Hope I helped

Select your highlighted sim and select Cell Phone, then choose Move, it will give you option to bring the other sims that live in the home with you or stay in the home, then you can choose to keep your furniture or sell it, the map comes up and you can choose from homes according your money.
Highlight your sim and click on the phone then click move and you get to choose where you live and who is moving with you or while you are in your house go to town map and click replace house and you can change your house :)

Okay i'm not for-sure but its either the grocery store or the book store but either one fine the books with the chef hat and buy them and read them and you will learn new recipes.. also become bff with a culinary chef and them exchange recipes and you learn new recipes but make sure you buy at least 2 or 3 of every food from the grocery store and stock them in your fridge at home.

If you watch the cooking cable channel on tv you can learn recipes while still having fun then to make those you need to use the fridge and it will depend on the time of day for the recipe even if you have not bought stuff for it you can still make it but it will have a price next to it and you have to pay that amount in order to make it

If its listed on the right hand side of the screen with the rest of your family members you should just be able to hit triangle and then scroll to the baby and hit x to select. That should bring you to where your baby is at. If the baby isn't showing in the list of family members then its possible there's a glitch or there isn't a baby yet.

You get your sims to kiss A LOT. Do a lotof romantic options and soon there will be an option to mke a baby
This is what you do have both your Sim go to the bed and relax once there on the be press the bed and an option to try for a baby will appear
Make the "baby mama" and "baby daddy" like each other romantically, then have them both relax on a double bed. click on the opposite of the person you are controlling, and there will be a wheel of options. choose TRY FOR BABY. you may have to do this repeatedly, but the results are worth it. :)
Also if one of the sims traits is "Family Oriented" it helps to make a baby faster. Its under their Special actions. They only way they wont have that option then is if one is in a really bad mood or if you just had a baby. You sims don't even have to like each other for that one.
When your sims are relaxing in bed click on the sim next toyou and say "try for baby". if the sim excepts they will go under the covers. if the music of "rocka bye baby" plays you will definatly have a baby, if not you still might have one, but the music tells you for sure. the next time your girl sim wakes up from sleeping, no matter what time it is, if she has the moodlet of "sick from unknown causes" then sshe is pregnant.
The best way ever is going to the theatre.... in the middle of the tour, you can go ñiqui ñiqui or go for a baby in the backstage. They can just be friends to do it

Could be a glitch in the system or something is blocking the sim from being able to get out or fully in the shower. You could try deleting the shower from build mode or try moving the shower somewhere else (so far I haven't been able to interact with an object that's in use by a sim in build mode tho) or canceling the "take shower" from your actions. If those don't work there's a glitch and you'll need to go back to your saved game unless you've saved it since they've been stuck in the shower or you'll need to restart the whole thing.
Just save your game and turn off your ps3 and then go back at the same time and there your sims will be out of the shower. it happened to me but I just saved the game and then quit and then went back again and my sim was out :) soon after he finished the shower

Delete the shower/ sell it, reload the game and your sim will be free. or you can start a fire sim will leave house. or delete the wall just behind the shower and tell the sim to walk to the other side of the wall opening. or you can sometimes call a family meal and the sim will rush there.
Let your sim die and use the karma powers to bring him back to life
Make sure you have the stucked sims picked. Hit select button and choose the map. Place crosshair selector on central park and press the square to view park. Click grill or chess game but make sure you cancel so the sims won't go there. Hit select again and choose live to go back to house and sims will be free and walking around.

Uhhh I havnt had that problem but im probably guessing that if its reaaallyy stuck then you should try to change houses if the sim that is stuck is the only one you have try to move your courser outside and click L2 and then click on add to family or something like that and then try to move to another house if you dont have enough money I would suggest cheating with the llama but dont save the game (i mean its your choice hahaha) hope it helps : )

Have you checked your inventory and/or family inventory? Also try checking on the town map for a highlighted building that would mean you'd need to interact with it. I'm guessing the science building maybe. I haven't sent anything off yet. So I'm just guessing.
I just done that today and they showed up in my mail box. It was under the "get mail" not the "pay bills".... not sure how many days had passed, wasn't keep track... don't think it was that long though

Which karma power are you trying to use? so far the only problem ive had with karma is it freezing up and I had to restart. Im assuming you have enough karma points to use the power since your sim sparkles so it might be a glitch.
Yeah I had the same problem. I was trying to use super satisfy and my sim was just standing there. im pretty much expecting her to die but she has a teenager and a toddler so I dont want that to happen. idk what to do and its making me extremely frustrated. (NERD ALERT)Look all you have to do is go over to your mailbox and hold L2 once its purple keep holding L2 and select the mailbox.You should have loads of cool options like skipping your job to level 1 to 10.Scroll down to reset Sim and you should be able to choose which Sim you want to reset. This should stop the sparkles above your sims head
Ovbiously you have saved it since it was stuck which was a bad idea, you should have just like, quit the game and started over from where you left off last time. that is my advice to anyone who has the same problem, also, I would save the game BEFORE you use any karma power, that way if you DO have to quit then the only thing that won't have saved willl be the karma porwer which you can easily just do again. :) xxx

You can only age them if they're closer to their birthday.
Sounds like you have it set to not allow the sims to age, if you have you will have to set this to allow ageing, save your game progress, buy a cake and the kids should then show to blow the candles out, once they have aged, go back and change the settings to not allow ageing, every time you want one to age do the above, hope this helps

You can only yous the birthday cake ones so youl have to wate inatall your todels grow up wich takes under 6 day in sim time
All you have to do is get a teen, young adult or adult to pick up the toddler and then when you are the teen, young adult or adult you have to click on the birthday cake, and click on the toddler you want to age up (which should be in someones arms at this moment) and THEN it should work. basically, the toddler needs to be held by someone or it cannot blow the candles out because it cannot reach. I hope I helped, it worked for me, so you should try it and if it don't work just come back and put on reply to me this "it don't work," or "it doesn't work or- well you get the point, just tell me if it doesn't work and I shall try and figure something out for you x
Only way to get your sims to grow up with the birthday cake they lifetime bar has to have green in it for them to use the cake only a little will help
All you have to do is enable aging. then move the bar down to brief lifespan. now it should only take 2 days for the toddler to age into a child. they days for the young adults will be longer. so once the toddler has aged disable aging and you'll still have the young adults and a new child. hope this helps!

Collect seeds in locations around town, go to family inventory on build and buy mode and place seeds. Fertilize them with a perfect fruit/veg of the same kind. Hope this helps! :D
After you plant an item fertilize it with something of the same quality or higher. As your plant grows it will usually go up by one or more rating. After you harvest the fruit/veg from the plant, re-plant the higher quality fruit/veg and re-fertilize. Just keep repeating these steps until you eventually plant and harvest perfect fruits/vegs.

My sim did that. You have to compeletely satisfy it then click the button. Its a pin because you have to click at the right moment....... OR just move out and dont bring that sim w/you then move back in.
What you do is just what about 5 days from their death and then they'll return to the netherworld and they will return, just to visit. So hope this helps! :)

I don't know if its too late to answer this but you'll need a cheat to get them back.
your family should still be in your sim's friends list and should still have contact with them (a lot harder for toddlers though)
invite over the sims that are missing through the phone then use the "testingcheatsenabled true cheats" then when the sim arrive, right click the missing sim and click "add to active family" then that sim should be in your active family.

Ummmm.... I think if they told you that you had to move then randy must have broken up with you I am afraid, (sorry) but I think you might have been able to stay with them if you moved and used the control stick to put them all into the new hous section, but it is far too late to get them back :( sorry but you might have to restart the family but unfortunatley I have no idea how! sorry again. I hope I helped you realise you had to start searching for a way to restart the family. I would normally put I hope I solved your problem but I didn't actually in any way solve your problem, if I find a way to restart the famliy I will let you know

I bought the place on Ocean Lane the 179k house. I demolished it and made my own but I am having problems. Its a 2 story house that is very small and has just enough stuff for my 4 sims to live. The fire bar is extremely high and wont let me build anything I dont have alot of stuff. Is there any way to remove the bar so I can build a decent size house with enough stuff for my sims to do?

Try deleting the grave yard and the stone wall around the lot if you can, all the unecessary things if you don't need them. But there's no way to take the fire bar off, sorry.

If you add more fire alarms and/or burglar alarms the fir meter will be lower and you can have more stuff... hope this helps :)
Well First Best Advice is to First try and figure out what made it so high. Some furni. can make it go higher than others can. Second, if there is furni. that is really high, try trading it out for other furni. Another thing you could do is try and add more fire alarms and burglar alarms, Sometimes that helps. Last, But not least just sell the house, Get a new Newbie lot and build it there. It could always be the lot that your on.

I do assume you can call them over and such as you would do with your friends, but if you kicked them out then no they are eraced from the game
U must be elder, if not elder you can still "quit work" instead (use cell phone)
As an elder, you retire by going to Town Map and click on your work place and different choices will come up. Mine was a lead guitarist and the different choices were Preform Concert, Go To Work, Become a Member, etc. When you become an elder, an extra choice pops up (mine was right under Go To Work) saying Retire (or something like that)......hope I helped :)

To disable aging press the start button and choose options. There you should be able to change or disable sim aging and free - will as well.

It depends on what you mean, if you want the needs bars to be full then go to your mailbox ( the one outside of your home only) hold down L2 while clicking the mailbox and a list of cheats Will pop up, click the first one " Make All Happy" and it should be done.

I dont think so ? but if you get the cheat llama then you can click on unlock all karma powers and there is satisfy all the sims needs then you keep clicking this when your sims needs are low ....BUT when your karma is ran out just click on the llama and it says MAXIMISE KARMA ! ENJOY :)
You can get the moodlet manager you have to buy it by pressing select and going to challanges and rewards then go to challange shop and if you have enough points you can buy it then go into buy mode and it will be with the electronics it works if your needs are on orange or red you get bad moodlets and you go on your sim and click cure it will get rid of your bad moodlets and fill the bars up you will never need to sleep again lol

Get a Maid or Butler, He or She should clear out the trash problem for you. They usually aren't to much money, Depending on the house size and house funds.
Go some where away fro your sim with the courser then hit the x button this will bring up jog here select and you have just jogged.
Click Somewere Further Away From Your Character, You Should Have the Option To Walk/Jog. - And Sneak if Your Level 7+ in Criminal Job.
If you want to jog get the big green thin over to where ever you want him or her to go.and then it will say go here or jog here and hit jog.

You get the stats up like go to the bathroom sleep eat read or watch tv and to talk to other sims. it can take a while to get the energy sometimes though

The quickest way for energy and fun is having your sim sleep in the best bed available to buy. The more comfortable they are the faster the energy goes up. Or you can just use the satisfy needs karma spell and it boosts all needs to maximum level. Just be careful not to use the karma too much (even the good karma) because at midnight an earthquake or meteor shower can happen I ended up catching my house on fire once, and then I got hit by a fire ball and caught on fire. Don't know if there is a way to put the fire out on yourself. Tried everything I could think of and it wouldn't let me do anything.
Use karma as above, but turn off karma consequences in options first, this stops evil fireball etc at midnight

If you want it to go back to green then look at all the things that are red like if the energy is low put the Sims to bed then do it to all of them and then it will start going back to green
You could do that but you could also do it the quick way by raising your karma high enough and then selecting the karma powers page and using the super satisfy which costs 40 karma points . Either way it gets your bar back up to green but this is the quicker easier way that I like to use if I have to do it before I go to school or work in the game.

Its red because your sim is in a bad mood or also known as moodlet. If your sim has evil or like grumpy traits for example their moodlet is most likely going to be red. Try doing things that your sim likes. Lets say they have the green thumb and grumpy trait, Try gardening and that should help. If that fails try using karma powers to increase his or her moodlet.

You go on build and buy mode, press triangle and select place in inventory, click on items and it should be in your inventory. If it's because you want to move, select phone/computer and select move then it should come up sell furniture or put furniture in inventory. Hope this helps! :D

You have to go to buy/build mode and when there you will see a hand on the right hand side. You will see that green hand scroll down to storage and click on the objects you want to put in storage. This will then be in your Family inventory.

Just cook a meal, the ingredients negate the price of some meals
You have to learn a recipe that requires that ingredient, if you don't have the ingredient you can't still make it, it will just cost.
I think by that question you mean (Why can't the items I bought at the store be cooked with?) Simple, You must go to storage, look in there and everything you bought SHOULD be there, If not then it may just be a glitch.

You should hold down l2 and then click on them while you hold down l2 and they will return to the netherworld! Hope this helps! :)
When I had a ghost in my house I invited another sim (a live one) to the lot and clicked on that sim and it said "ask everyone to leave" I clicked that the live and ghost both left saying nice seeing you or something try that

If you bought somthing in the challenge shop, you'll find it in the build & buy mode. It doesn't automatically give the item to you - you have to buy it again with simoleons. I found this out after I bought the Nursury package from the Challenge Shop. Hope I helped. (:

To move out you have to go onto map, then make the cursor go onto your house, then click (x) On interact, and click replace house. I've done it and you get an amazing victorian house. But if not, you buy a computer and go onto it and look at the options, click move, :') I Hope I helped!
