if you havnt, it is west from olivine. then defeat jasmine, then surf east from the lakes on the right of eruteak city. you will end up in mahogony town and you can carry on from there.

In the silver cave red has a lv 81 pikachu a lv 77 venasuar a lv 77 charizard a lv 77 blastoise, a lv 72 espeon and a lv 75 snorlax so I would take: a ground type like dugtrio, a fire like flareon, a water like psyduck, a lighting type like pikachu if you can get one, a goast like gangar, and a pigiot. Onix only evolves when you give it the metal coat to hold then trade it to someone (make sure the person can trade it back)
To get the metal coat beat the pokemon leage and then get the ticket to go on the boat from elm and find the girl then the guy will give you metal coat

You go to prof. oak and he will give you a ss.ticket then you get on a boat and go to kanto/johto and then its like you start over on a different story and you can get 8 more badges overthere
