How do you get a chaos emerald?

A1:

Every few levels (like level 1 stage 1 or level 2 stage 1 or 2) find a bumper it will be blue on the bottom and the part you jump on red jump then collect as many rings as possible or as many as it tells you to then collect the floating chao and after the second part walla.

here is the first chaos emerald on the first stage first level use tails on this one and next for the first on level one stage one go to where the end is do NOT touch the thing that ends the level go back till you find a platform in midair with a bumper on it, fly up to the platform then fly more till you see a moving platform jump on it and it will take you there! jump on the bumper and there you go.
