When you walk in through the library door, the alarm will obviously go off. If you click tiwice to go forward, then turn to the right, zoom into the alarm keypad and put the code in. then the alarm will be off.

You have to figure out the code by watching him, from above! Read the sassy detective magazine on the table in nancy's room.Turn Nancy's alarm to a time that the ski shop is closed and go to the basement. Pick up the paint brush on the closed sill. Go into the basement elevator. If you can't open it and Nancy keeps saying "it's locked" go down the basement hallway to the circuit breaker box. next to it is a lever that says elevator operation. pull it and go into the basement elevator. turn around so you face the back wall, and look up. open the shaft and get on the rungs untill you find the open shaft. crawl until you can see the inside of the library. open the shaft and dtep out, you will here dexter coming, so quickly get back in the shaft and watch him. when he is gone you can go out permanently. go over to the dusty table and nancy will say 'how dusty'. put the painbrush on the table and gather dust. go over to the alarm pad and put dust on the keys. type in the code. you can use that code from now on to turn off the alarm.
If you can't figure out that question. (like me) She will ask you another keep doing this until you find a question you know you can find. (I got the model # for the elevator (the answer I think is 50964)
Ok it's not in the desk that's by the ventilation duct. You know where the atlas is in the library? On top of it there is dust. (Or you could just type in the code: 3*72)

If you did it right, it should open up and you can get the journal. this one if very tricky...so be sure you do it right, and if you do it will automatically open.

Ok, now did you get the translation sheet from Professors Hotchkisses desk yet after you get the journal from the leaf puzzle and give it to her? If you didn't that's probably why. After Nancy says The diamond... after reading the tranlation then you're ok. If not, go to more of those cheating walkthrough websites. (That's how I found out)
First of all, you need to make sure you have done all of the following things.(not specifically in this order) 1. Read the books "True Stories Behind Famous American Portraits" and "Purple Hearted Queen" from the library. 2. Gave the journal to Hotchkiss and ask her to translate it. 3. Look through the peephole with all three medallions. 4. Read the translated journal and the decoder. 5. Make sure the medallions are placed in the right space on the tower floor. 6. Get the spear tip from the knight. After you do all this, you should be able to go to the portrait. (make sure that you look through the peephole with all three medallions, and then look at the decoder. But, if you did it it the opposite order, that's okay, just re-do both steps.)
You have to walk around the room till you get close enough. Then it should let you click on the tiles around the purple rose.
Before you do that.
Next to the gate that leads into the tower.
There is a knight. Click on that and take the arrow on top of his sword.
That will help you pull the tiles off.
After you solved the secret compartment puzzle, show Hotchkiss the diary and get her to translate it for you. Set your alarm so that a day passes and go to her room when she's in the lounge. Go to her typewriter and mouse over the top left corner of her desk. Click when your magnifying glass turns red and it shows Marie Antoinette's secret code decoder for symbols that you saw in the "peep hole" with each of your medallions. Nancy will talk about a purple rose. Then you can go to the tower and walk to the picture of Marie.
First you have to go into proffesers room and read the note to the top left of the typewriter then you can go up to the tower and get the flower off of the picture!! have fun!!
Later in the game, Lisa will leave a message on your machine telling you she wants to talk to you. Just wait until then. After she talks to you, she'll tell you were she thinks the green medallion is.
You have to talk to the weird lady that is always typing in her room shell give you the key to her room and you'll find in there behind the green pillow.
Inside your room they give you a password and a locker number ...you'll find the paper w/ your locker number in your room inside your desk that should help out.

YOu click right or left to the number you need, then you push the triangle above the lock. The gray one. It is big. YOu push that triangle after each number needed.
When you go outside, go into the shed. There are 2 machines. ! of them, when you click on it, a rat appears, be careful, don't let it bite you! Click in the same spot again and you will retrive the green madallion!
Kk u didnt tell lisa anything tht was happening!!!! thts why she was mad at you. next time tell her little things but dont tell her too much info about whats going on.
If you go to the phone in your room, and listen to the voice mail, eventually there will be a message on there from her apologizing and telling you to come talk!
Listen to your voicemail in the bedroom and Lisa should have sent you a voicemail apologizing and saying that she wants to be friends. Then go talk to you her and she'll enlighten you about the green medallion.
Set your clock for 3 am the for the next night. Remember she metioned she is always there from 3 to 5:59 every night?

I keep missin the professor in the lounge. I set my alarm for 3am and she's NEVER there! i've already talked to her and she's told me to meet her there.
You go to the basement and then go near the lockers, there will be a door by the lockers. you cant go through the door until the storm dies down ,dexter will alert you of this.
When you are outside stuck go inside the the building where you got the medallian and in the corner there is machine that you hve to pull down the handles in the correct order....just mess with it untill you get it right then they'll come out and help you.
Awser: you dont make noise as soon as you get locked out go back to the shed and walk over to the ski machine pull the middle lever once and the right lever twice.
You have to go over to the large work counter area after you go into the shed. Go to the left side of the large counter and it will show you a picture of the ski-lift-activator with the numbers 3.0, 2.0, and 4.0 This means that you need to set the levers on the activator to step 3 for the one on the left, step 2 for the middle on, and step 4 for the one on the right. It's difficult to explain, but back away from the counter and go to your right where there is some kind of machine and go to the levers. They are all set to "step 1", as I have been putting it. If you click a lever, it goes to step two, click it again and it goes to step three, click it again and it goes to step 4, and click it again and it goes back to step one. Be careful because when you click one lever, another moves with it. Good luck.
